Vicky Frantz Volunteer Coach

Vicky Frantz has coached swimming over the past 10 years and is a 4th grade teacher at St. John’s Episcopal School in Olney, MD. She moved to Rockville with her family from Kenya in 2022. She is an avid swim mom of Shad and Nyah who swim competitively year-round. She holds her American Swim Coaches Association Level 2 certification, was an assistant coach for her kids' swim teams in both Malawi and Kenya, and taught private lessons throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout her family's time living in Africa, they returned to Washington state every summer for summer swim league. Summer swim was home. No matter where they lived during the school year, her kids returned to their summer swim league and their friends. Because of this, she recognizes the importance of summer swim and how friendships and camaraderie develop from this fun summer activity. She is excited to be a part of the Barracudas team and is looking forward to helping swimmers improve and friendships grow.
