Barracudas Swim Team Trip to Guppy Gulch is back for Round 2.  September 12

Hey Barracudas, what better way to hang out with your teammates while socially distancing and spending the day outside? Guppy Gulch here we come! YES, we’re returning to Guppy Gulch. What a great way to spend the day in the Summer heat. Guppy Gulch promises lots of fun in the water with some new inflatables.

Pricing: $22 for swimmers; $10 for non-swimmers

Logistics: We will meet at the park at 9:30am for check in; water opens at 10am and the last horn blows at 4:45pm. Transportation is the responsibility of each family. The swim team will have our own area to store towels and belongings complete with picnic tables and a grill. Plan to bring your own lunch. You may also bring your own chairs, if you prefer.

Age: Guppy Gulch is generally recommended for guests 8 years old and older. This is due to the limitation of their lifeguard inventory. Guests weighing less than 50 pounds should bring their own Coast Guard approved lifejacket.

Registration: Two steps MUST be completed prior to the trip (deadline is 9/5/20):

Once you get to online registration you must select the date 9/12/2020 by clicking on the calendar. Sign up for New Booking: September 12, 2020. Scroll to Camp-Day visit, click on “book now”. Enter number of Guests x $22.00 and click continue. Fill out the form in its entirety.

Very Important – Group Name field should be filled with: New Mark Commons Swim Team. This is the only way that Guppy Gulch will be able to determine that you paid and that you are part of our group!

Step Two: The Waiver: Online waiver Guppy Gulch Release and Waiver MUST be signed for EACH adult and child participant:

New Mark Commons swim team recommends:

Use bathroom facilities prior to arriving at Guppy Gulch. Even in normal circumstances, the bathroom and shared facilities are not ideal. We will be sitting in a designated area together and you must pack and bring your own lunch and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own lifejacket and chair, but it’s not mandatory. Last year we had a grill that we were able to use for our pavilion area - and people brought their own charcoal and grilling items.

Note from Guppy Gulch regarding COVID-19:

COVID related changes: We have made several adjustments to our facility in light of COVID. Groups will be 'assigned' socially distanced groups of picnic tables and we are requesting that lifejackets not be traded among group members. We will be cleaning lifejackets, tables and beach furniture daily and have increased the number of handwashing stations. We have also increased our bathroom and high touch area cleaning schedules. And we are cleaning all inflatables as well.
